Esther Berias

Esther Berias (born 1973) is a dancer, choreographer, and educator affiliated with the Drama Department at Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media. She holds a Diploma in Choreography & Postmodern Dance from the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Amsterdam (1997–2001) and studied Integrative Dance Pedagogy at the German Institute for Dance Pedagogy in Cologne (1995–1997). Since 2001, she has been a freelance artist, performing and choreographing internationally across Europe and Mexico. Since 2006, she teaches movement, modern, and postmodern dance as a Part-Time Lecturer at HMTM Hanover.

Her artistic practice centers contact improvisation as both an art form and philosophical principle. She has collaborated with festivals like Eigenarten Festival (Hamburg), Tanz Bremen, and Oerol Festival (Netherlands). Professional certifications include Polestar Pilates (2007), Yoga Teacher (Institute for Yoga & Health, 2013–14), and Traditional Thai Massage (2016). Her work bridges dance education with holistic body practices.
