Dr. Essie Rodgers is a Lecturer at Murdoch University's School of Environmental and Conservation Sciences, where she heads the Conservation Physiology and Aquaculture Lab. Her research investigates mechanistic responses of species to environmental change, focusing on fish, reptiles, and amphibians. She holds a PhD in Conservation Physiology from the University of Queensland and collaborates with aquaculture industries and government agencies to enhance species resilience.
Research Interests: Essie's work integrates ecophysiology, global change biology, and conservation science. Key themes include thermal/diving physiology in aquatic species, meta-analytical approaches to climate impacts, and designing sustainable aquaculture practices under climate stress. Her lab employs cutting-edge tools to address both fundamental and applied questions.
