Esmat Elhami

Dr. Esmat Elhami is an Instructor III in the Department of Physics at the University of Winnipeg. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky (2008) and a B.Sc. from Ferdowsi University, Iran (1998). His research focuses on advanced medical imaging techniques, particularly the integration of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging for pre-clinical studies. Key areas include stem cell tracking in cardiac therapy, in-vivo quantification, and multimodality imaging applications.

His work emphasizes improving diagnostic accuracy through innovations like PET-MR software development and optimizing radiotracer labeling for stem cells. He has contributed to studies on defective detector impacts in clinical imaging and nuclear structure analysis of isotopes such as Zirconium and Nickel.
