Eshan Dave is an Associate Professor and Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of New Hampshire (UNH). He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and previously served as an Assistant/Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota Duluth. His research focuses on pavement performance evaluation, resilient infrastructure design, and the impacts of climate variability on transportation systems.
Dr. Dave’s expertise spans asphalt materials science, including the development of performance-based specifications and life cycle assessment methodologies. He is actively involved in professional organizations such as the Transportation Research Board (AFK50, AHD20 committees), ASTM International, and the International Society of Asphalt Pavements (ISAP). His work integrates experimental, computational, and field-based approaches to address challenges in pavement durability and sustainability.
He has authored/co-authored over 80 refereed journal articles and conference proceedings, with a focus on fracture mechanics, material characterization, and climate resilience. His research is funded by entities like the Department of Defense, Minnesota DOT, and New Hampshire DOT. Dr. Dave also leads educational initiatives in infrastructure materials and sustainable engineering practices.
