Jo Sias

Jo Sias is a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of New Hampshire (UNH), part of the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from UNH. His research focuses on pavement materials, asphalt mixture behavior, recycled materials, and infrastructure sustainability, with a strong emphasis on mechanistic and predictive modeling.

Teaching responsibilities include courses like Pavement Design Analysis, Engineering Materials Lab, and Doctoral Research. His work integrates advanced methods such as machine learning for outlier detection in material testing and predictive modeling of pavement performance under flood conditions.
