Prof. Ernesto Damiani is a Professor of Practice at Khalifa University's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and serves as Senior Director of the Center for Cyber-Physical Systems (C2PS). He also holds a full professorship at the Department of Computer Science, University of Milan, Italy, where he leads the SESAR research lab.

Ernesto Damiani's research focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Big Data Analytics, with specialized work in Cyber-Physical Systems security, Data-intensive Service-oriented Architectures, and Privacy-preserving Data Analytics. His work bridges theoretical and applied domains, particularly in industrial informatics and service computing.
Ernesto has received multiple scientific accolades, including:

He is Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Service Computing and has held editorial roles for other journals, including IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems and IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics.
