Ernő Rubik is a renowned inventor and academic, currently affiliated with the Aquincum Institute of Technology (AIT) in Budapest, Hungary, where he leads the Rubik’s Workshop. Previously, he served as Assistant and Associate Professor at the Hungarian University of Arts and Design (1970–1988). He also held leadership roles including President of the Hungarian Academy of Engineering (1990–1996) and Editor-in-Chief of the Hungarian quarterly game magazine "és Játék" (1982–1983).
