Dr Erinma Ochu is the Wallscourt Associate Professor in Immersive Media at the Faculty of Arts, Creative Industries, and Education (ACE) at the University of the West of England. Her work bridges immersive media, digital storytelling, and sustainability through transdisciplinary research.

- Queer data practices
Her recent publications focus on environmental DNA (eDNA) applications, ethical AI adoption in pharmaceuticals, climate modeling informed by indigenous knowledge, and critical perspectives on science communication. Key collaborations include roles in the DCRC, SPE, CRCG, Stuart Hall Scholars & Fellows Network, and co-editorship of the Emerald Press book series 'Digital Materialities & Sustainable Futures.'
Scientific awards include membership in the Royal Academy of Engineering's Technology Pathways & Meaningful Innovation steering group. She has supervised PhD students exploring digital art's connection to the more-than-human world, anti-colonial documentary toolkits, and older adults' VR experiences. Her research teams engage in post-carbon futures, immersive education, and worldmaking practices.
