Erin Pumroy

Dr. Erin Pumroy is a Lecturer in the Professional Communication Department at Texas Tech University's College of Media & Communication. She holds a PhD in Technical Communication and Rhetoric (2016), an MA in Technical and Professional Communication (2012), and a BA in English and Spanish (2010), all from Auburn University. Her research focuses on corporate/organizational communication, interpersonal dynamics, political rhetoric, speech/rhetoric theory, and visual communication. Notable work includes studies on provider-patient communication and health communication ethics.

Dr. Pumroy has extensive teaching experience, delivering over 100 online sections of professional communication courses via platforms like Zoom and Blackboard, alongside on-site instruction. She has taught at Texas Tech, Sam Houston State University, and Oregon Institute of Technology.
