Erin Meyers, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Communication, Journalism, and Public Relations at Oakland University, where she also serves as Assistant Director of the Women and Gender Studies Program. Recent publications (2020-2023) examine reality TV celebrity and ephemeral media, while earlier works (2009-2015) established foundational research on gossip blogs, soap operas, and authenticity in celebrity culture.
