Erin Li is an Assistant Professor at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, specializing in filmmaking and media arts. Born to immigrant parents from Taiwan and raised in New Jersey, her unique background informs her exploration of ambition, identity, and social issues.

Her research and creative work focus on science fiction filmmaking, social justice narratives, and commercial storytelling. She has gained international recognition for films like KEPLER X-47 and TO THE BONE, which examine alienation and human rights.
