Erin Issac

Erin Issac is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, specializing in Pediatric Dentistry. She holds a B.Sc. in Neurobiology and Physiology from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Her clinical training includes a residency at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, where she earned a certificate in pediatric dentistry.

Her expertise spans preventive/restorative dentistry, dentistry for medically complex children, dental emergencies, interceptive orthodontics, oral surgery, and behavior guidance. She also focuses on facial growth/development’s impact on breathing, speech, and general growth, alongside laser dentistry. Research interests include studying asthma’s effects on oral health and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration between dental and medical professionals.

Erin engages in community education, charity events, and professional societies. Her personal interests include photography, fashion modeling, and advocating for young girls’ empowerment.
