Heim's research bridges biblical exegesis with contemporary metaphor theory, particularly in Pauline literature. Her recent work examines adoption metaphors in Galatians and Romans, their theological implications, and applications to modern identity constructs. She also explores the intersection of linguistic theory and scriptural interpretation.
Her publications from 2014–2024 reflect a sustained interest in Pauline letters, metaphor analysis, and theological methodology. Key themes include adoption theology, prepositional hermeneutics, and the socio-historical context of New Testament writings.
