Erin Harrington

Erin Harrington, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Wyoming. Her research focuses on cognitive aging, prospective memory, and the interplay of psychosocial factors with cognitive performance. She leads the Cognitive Aging & Memory Perceptions (CAMP) Lab and teaches Cognitive Psychology.

Dr. Harrington investigates how age, gender, culture, and inflammation influence everyday memory lapses and strategy use. Her work bridges cognitive psychology with geriatric care and social robotics applications.

She collaborates on interdisciplinary projects related to caregiver stress during the pandemic, cognitive collaboration in aging populations, and socially assistive robots in healthcare. Her publications frequently appear in journals like Journal of Psychosomatic Research and Sex Roles.
