Erin Foster is an Associate Professor of Psychology and Vice Provost at Loyola University New Orleans. She also serves as Director of Online Psychology and oversees multiple offices, including the Center for Teaching, Research, and Learning, Women's Resource Center, and the University's dual enrollment program. Her teaching integrates service-learning components, with students volunteering at organizations like Hope Lodge and Habitat for Humanity.
- Education: Ph.D. in Social Psychology (University of New Hampshire, 2008), M.S.T. in College Teaching (University of New Hampshire, 2008), B.A. in Psychology (New England College, 2003)
Dr. Foster's research spans sexual assault, social cognition, prejudice and discrimination, religious beliefs, and social support in online gaming environments. Her recent publications explore holistic wellness in midlife, racial factors in rape attributions, and technology-based interventions for homeless populations.
She has received multiple community service awards, including the 2016 Excellence in Community Engaged Teaching Award and the 2010 Humanities and Natural Sciences Excellence in Community Service Award.
