Erin E. Bonar, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist and tenured Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan, with an Adjunct Associate Professor appointment in the Department of Psychology. As Director of Research Strategy for MI-ACRE (Michigan Addiction Research Center), her work focuses on preventing and treating substance use disorders across adolescence, emerging adulthood, and adulthood using technologies like social media, telemedicine, and patient portals. She specializes in Motivational Interviewing and is a certified member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers.
