Erin E. Baldwin, MS, CGC, MB(ASCP) is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Medical Genetics at the University of Utah School of Medicine and a certified genetic counselor at Huntsman Cancer Institute. She specializes in pediatric genetics and genetic counseling, with board certifications from the American Board of Genetic Counseling and the American Society for Clinical Pathology.

Research Focus: Erin's research centers on genetic counseling, pediatric genetics, neurodevelopmental disorders, and chromosomal abnormalities. Her work includes the clinical utility of chromosomal microarray analysis, genetic testing in deaf populations, and the molecular basis of mitochondrial and neurogenetic disorders.
Scientific Contributions: She has co-authored over 15 peer-reviewed publications since 2006, including a landmark 2024 study in Nature identifying de novo variants in RNU4-2 snRNA as a cause of a common neurodevelopmental syndrome.
