Eriko Akamatsu is a Lecturer in Asian Studies at Cornell University's College of Arts and Sciences. She specializes in Japanese language instruction through the Full-year Asian Language Concentration (FALCON) program and contributes to Cornell's East Asia Program as Outreach Coordinator.
Education includes:
- MA in Secondary Education from Marshall University
- MA in Second Language Acquisition from University of Maryland
- BA in English Education from Hiroshima University
Research focuses on immersive language pedagogy, curriculum development for East Asian languages, and cross-cultural educational methodologies. Her work examines linguistic acquisition patterns in intensive programs.
