Erika W. Davies is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She serves as the Director of Medical Counter Measures for DTRS and Director of Scientific and Education Programs (D-SEP) at the Center for Blood Oxygen Transport and Hemostasis (CBOTH), coordinating multiple academic laboratories and managing grants. With a PhD in Emerging Infectious Diseases and postdoctoral training at NIH/NIAID, she combines expertise in immunology, parasitology, and federal program management.

Her research focuses on scientific ethics, infectious diseases, and immunology, with a particular emphasis on improving research quality, resolving publication ethics issues, and understanding host-pathogen interactions. Her recent publications highlight collaborations on topics such as schistosome infection mechanisms, T cell regulation, and autoimmune disease disparities.
Erika has received recognition as an AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow. Her work involves managing a $20M portfolio at BARDA, providing technical expertise, and training students and faculty on scientific publishing principles.
