Erika Van Dyke is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Springfield College, returning as a faculty member in the Athletic Counseling Program. She holds a Ph.D. from West Virginia University (2019), an M.S. from Springfield College (2015), and a B.S. from the University of California, Davis (2012).

Her research focuses on applied sport psychology, including self-talk strategies among collegiate athletes and their impact on competitive performance. She has published book chapters and journal articles in this domain and presented at national/international conferences. Key recognition includes the 2016 APA Division 47 Master’s Thesis Award for work on gymnasts’ self-talk.
Courses taught include Introduction to Psychology and Professional Studies in Athletic Counseling. She is certified with organizations such as the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) and the American Psychological Association (APA).
