Erika Olofsson is an Associate Professor in Silviculture and Head of the Department of Forestry and Wood Technology at Linnaeus University. She is actively involved in the Faculty of Technology, focusing on sustainable forestry practices and climate adaptation strategies. Her roles include being the project manager for the research program Future Forestry in Southern Sweden (FRAS II) and the program manager for the master's program Forestry for Green Sustainable Development. She leads the Small-Scale Forestry Research Group and contributes to initiatives like the Virtual Wood University Master Program.
Her research interests encompass climate adaptation in forestry, forest regeneration, and the socio-economic dimensions of private forest ownership. Key projects include studying the effects of education on forest owners' decision-making and exploring transnational silvicultural practices through the Kopiera, modifiera eller ignorera? project.
