Erik Wenninger is Professor and Extension Specialist at the University of Idaho, serving as Integrated Pest Management Coordinator. Based at Kimberly Research Center, his program addresses arthropod management in agricultural systems, with emphasis on vector ecology and disease epidemiology.
Research examines beet leafhopper ecology, potato psyllid biology, and non-target impacts of pest control strategies. Develops IPM protocols for Pacific Northwest crops including potatoes, sugar beets, and alfalfa. Leads extension education on beneficial insect identification and management.
