Erik R. Bardy is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Department Chair at Gateway Community College. He also serves as Field Director for the Office of Global Programs.

His research focuses on Electrohydrodynamic (EHD) enhanced food drying and heat transfer mechanisms. He teaches courses including Survey of Alternative Energy Systems and Principles of Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning.
Recent publications analyze EHD drying efficiency, ionic wind effects, and exergetic analysis of food drying processes. His work emphasizes energy optimization and sustainable drying technologies.
