Erik P. Sulman

Erik P. Sulman is a Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology and the Department of Neurosurgery at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He serves as Co-Director of the Brain & Spine Tumor Center and Vice Chair of Research at NYU Langone's Perlmutter Cancer Center. A board-certified radiation oncologist, he specializes in treating brain and spinal cord tumors using Gamma Knife radiosurgery and external beam radiation therapy.

His research focuses on enhancing radiation therapy effectiveness through molecular predictors of treatment response and advancing personalized care for brain tumor patients. Recent publications highlight his work in combining immunotherapy with stereotactic radiosurgery, developing evidence-based clinical guidelines, and exploring genetic markers in glioblastoma vascular toxicity.

As a translational science chair on national brain tumor trials, he drives biomarker development and validation. He is also a board member of the Society for Neuro-Oncology, emphasizing collaborative approaches to improving patient care.
