Erik Olsen

Erik Olsen is an Instructor at the Air Force Institute of Technology's School of Systems and Logistics, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. He orchestrates day-to-day operations for the creation, execution, and evaluation of logistics courses for both live and distance learning venues.

Mr. Olsen's educational background includes:

• Bachelor of Science from Widener University (1999)
• Master of Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University (2001)
• US Army Command and General Staff College (2013)

Erik Olsen's expertise focuses on practical logistics applications with emphasis on Foreign Military Sales, Supply Chain Management, and Acquisition Processes. His military background as a Navy Supply Officer provides real-world context to his teaching in logistics management, distribution systems, materiel management, and transportation routing. He teaches courses including LOG 199 – Introduction to Logistics, WKLCL100 – Logistics Academy FLIGHT, and the Global Supply Chain Executive Development Course at the University of Tennessee.

Mr. Olsen served as a Supply Officer onboard the USS McInerney (FFG-8) and USS Stephen W. Groves (FFG-29), deploying to Central and South America, North Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Middle East regions. His shore duties included Naval Station Roosevelt Roads, PR, Submarine Base Kings Bay, GA, and the Afloat Training Group Mayport, FL. He also deployed to CENTCOM DDOC at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait in support of OIF and served as a Logistics Specialist for the F-16 sale to Iraq and MQ-9 sale to the UK.
