Erik Hannerz is an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Sociology, Lund University, with expertise in cultural criminology, subcultures, and urban sociology. He has been active at Lund since 2014 and is a Faculty Fellow at Yale University's Center for Cultural Sociology. His research explores graffiti culture, internet detectives, and urban space commodification.

Research Interests include ethnographic studies of subcultures, the intersection of crime and digital crowdsourcing, and urban creativity. His work often examines how marginalized groups interact with public spaces and technology.
