Erik Ghenoiu

Erik Ghenoiu serves as the History + Theory Coordinator, Research Coordinator, and Learning Assessment Coordinator at SCI-Arc. His research focuses on visual urbanism, design theory, and urban transformation across historical and contemporary contexts. He holds a PhD in Architecture from Harvard University, an MA in the History of Art and Architecture, an MS in Geography from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a BA in Geography from Clark University.

Prior to his current role, he coordinated the Harvard-Mellon Urban Initiative and served as Adjunct Associate Professor of Graduate Architecture and Urban Design at Pratt Institute, where he also directed the School of Architecture's publications. He has taught at institutions including Harvard, Freie-Universität Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, and the University of Queensland.

His work bridges historical analysis of architectural movements with modern urban challenges, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to spatial design and theory.
