Erik Chavez

Erik Chavez is a Research Fellow at the Department of Finance within the Imperial College Business School, affiliated with the Brevan Howard Centre for Financial Analysis and the Grantham Institute. His research focuses on climate dynamics, risk modelling, and their intersections with economics and environmental science.

He holds a Ph.D. in climate dynamics and economics from Imperial College London and ENS Paris (Ecole Normale Supérieure). His professional experience includes six years as a short-term consultant for the Agricultural Risk Management Team at the World Bank.

Erik’s work bridges environmental and financial systems, addressing climate-related risks and their economic implications. His affiliations with the Grantham Institute highlight his engagement with global sustainability challenges.
