Erick Arenas

Erick Arenas is a Lecturer in Music History and Literature at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM), with a focus on 18th and 19th-century music. He also oversees Professional Development initiatives. His academic background includes a PhD from Stanford University, an MA from the University of Oregon, and a BM from the University of the Pacific.

Research interests span Austro-German orchestral masses, Gabriel Fauré, and Johann Michael Haydn's works. He teaches courses like Symphony After Beethoven and Program Notes. Recent publications analyze liturgical music traditions and composers like Haydn and Fauré.
