ao. Univ.-Prof. Mag. Dr. Erich Landsteiner is an Associate Professor at the University of Vienna's Department of Economic and Social History within the Faculty of Historical and Cultural Studies. His research focuses on early modern economic and social history, agricultural systems, and the interplay between commercial practices and state formation. He holds a Mag. phil. (1986) and Dr. phil. (1992) from the University of Vienna, followed by Habilitation in 2002. Active in teaching since 2002, Landsteiner leads courses on economic/social history, methodology workshops, and master's thesis seminars. His work explores themes like agrarian labor relations, wine production dynamics, and commodity chains in Central Europe.
