معرفی
Erich Joseph Kushner is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Denver, part of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. He holds a B.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Fort Lewis College (2004) and a Ph.D. in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado Boulder (2010). After completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill (2010–2016), he joined the University of Denver as an Assistant Professor in 2016, advancing to his current role as Associate Professor. His research focuses on understanding mechanisms of blood vessel formation and molecular biophysics, with implications for vascular development and disease.
Education:
- B.S., Cellular and Molecular Biology, Fort Lewis College, Durango, CO (2004)
- Ph.D., Integrative Physiology, University of Colorado Boulder, CO (2010)
Research Interests:
Dr. Kushner’s work centers on uncovering how blood vessels develop and function, leveraging molecular and cellular biophysics approaches. His investigations aim to bridge gaps in understanding vascular biology, with potential applications in regenerative medicine and disease treatment.
Labs/Teams:
He leads the Kushner Lab at the University of Denver, accessible at kushnerlab.com.
