Her research spans the historical and cultural trajectories of Syriac Christian communities in Iraq, Syria, and Central Asia, with a particular emphasis on the Church of the East's outreach until 1500. She has extensively analyzed Syriac materials from Turfan and contributed to the cataloging of incantation bowls in the British Museum.
The 15 most recent publications reflect her expertise in Late Antique Christianity, Manichaeism, and Syriac manuscript studies. Key themes include interfaith dialogues, Christian identity in non-Muslim contexts, and the material culture of religious practices.
Collaborations with scholars like Mark Dickens and J.F. Coakley highlight her interdisciplinary approach. Her academic sponsor at Cambridge is Professor Imre Galambos, and she contributes to ongoing discussions on the preservation of ancient texts and cultural heritage.
