Eric Wilson serves as Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy and Director of Student Affairs for the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program within Augustana University's School of Health Professions Education. He joined the institution in 2025 with over 25 years of clinical, academic, and leadership experience, including service as a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force. Wilson holds dual board certification as a clinical specialist in orthopedic and sports physical therapy alongside certifications as CSCS, FAAOMPT, and performance enhancement specialist.

- Doctor of Science in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (2001) from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions

Wilson's research centers on orthopedic physical therapy and sports medicine with specific emphasis on spinal pain prevention, dry needling safety protocols, and return-to-duty testing methodologies. His work addresses critical challenges in military and tactical athlete contexts, published in Military Medicine and the Journal of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy.
