Eric R. Pease

Eric R. Pease, D.O., M.B.A., is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. He serves as a Consultant in both the Department of Psychiatry & Psychology and Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at Mayo Clinic's Rochester campus. Dr. Pease completed his psychiatry residency and child/adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Mayo Clinic, along with an M.B.A. in Healthcare Leadership.

His research examines:

• Integrated behavioral healthcare delivery models
• Risk factors for pediatric psychiatric illness (e.g., maternal substance use, childhood sleep disorders)
• Psychosocial impacts of child welfare system engagement
• Medical education frameworks for psychiatry trainees

His recent publications (2021-2025) focus on psychopharmacology for young children, sleep-psychiatry connections, foster care dynamics, perinatal opioid impacts, and trainee well-being during COVID-19, demonstrating consistent focus on pediatric mental health innovation.
