Eric M. Patashnik is Julis-Rabinowitz Professor of Public Policy and Political Science at Brown University. His research examines policy sustainability, health reform, and legislative evolution in polarized contexts.
Patashnik analyzes how policies trigger backlash, the politics of evidence-based medicine, and welfare state reforms. His books explore why some reforms endure while others unravel due to coalitional shifts.
Honors include the APSA's Don K. Price and NAPA's Louis Brownlow awards. He edits the JHPPL and directs Brown's Master of Public Affairs program.
