Eric Lander is an Assistant Professor at Uppsala University's Department of Nordic Languages since August 2023, specializing in runology and historical linguistics. His work focuses on Proto-Norse and Viking Age runic inscriptions, with expertise in morphology, syntax, phonology, and etymology.

Publications span topics like verbal hyperbaton in runic inscriptions, nanosyntax applications, and historical clause structures, reflecting his interest in grammatical change patterns and computational linguistics frameworks.
