Roles & Affiliations: Eric Chwang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religion at Rutgers University–Camden, and holds the Henry Rutgers Term Chair of Ethics, Health, and Society. He previously worked at the University of Colorado Boulder and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Education:
- Ph.D. in Philosophy, Princeton University
- M.D., Baylor College of Medicine
Research Interests: Focuses on bioethics with emphasis on consent-related issues in healthcare. Explores ethical frameworks for medical decision-making, patient autonomy, and societal implications of biomedical advancements. Engages in interdisciplinary dialogue between philosophy and healthcare policy.
Current work addresses emerging ethical challenges in clinical practice and public health.
