Eric Chumachenco is a Vocal Coach and Accompanist at the Department of Vocal Studies, Mozarteum University. Since 1990, he has served as a lied accompanist and artistic collaborator for vocal studies classes. His expertise spans a rich repertoire from Bach to contemporary works, with notable performances as a soloist, chamber musician, and accompanist.
Education: Studied piano with Sava Savoff (Zurich Conservatory), Edith Picht-Axenfeld (Freiburg), Maria Curcio (London), and Vitalij Margulis (Freiburg). Completed masterclasses with Nikita Magaloff, Homero Francesch, and György Kurtág. Holds teaching diplomas from Zurich (1983) and Freiburg (1987).
Research & Performance Focus: Specializes in art song accompaniment, Mozart concerti, and interdisciplinary works like Carl Orff's Carmina Burana.
