معرفی
Eric B Dammer is a systems biology analyst at Emory University with over 15 years of experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, and mass spectrometry. Since joining Emory in 2008, he has focused on validating and analyzing mass spectrometric data to investigate neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, frontotemporal lobar degeneration, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and Lewy Body Dementia.
His research leverages advanced proteomic and transcriptomic approaches to identify molecular signatures and vulnerabilities in aging and diseased brains. Recent work includes network analyses of cerebrospinal fluid and plasma proteomes to uncover biomarkers and pathways linked to neurodegeneration, as well as studies on lipidomics and cryptic exon inclusion in disease progression.
Dr. Dammer has contributed to collaborative publications in high-impact journals like Nature Communications, focusing on integrating multi-omics data to understand complex neurological disorders. His expertise spans systems biology, mass spectrometry, and molecular pathology, with a strong emphasis on translational research.
