Eric Alan Storch, Ph.D. is a Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He also serves as the Head of Psychology and is a licensed psychologist with clinical certifications in both Texas and Florida. His work focuses on the assessment and treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, and neurodevelopmental conditions across the lifespan, with a particular emphasis on cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure-response prevention therapy.

Research Interests:
Dr. Storch’s research spans a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral disorders. His primary focus is on obsessive-compulsive disorder and its subtypes, including hoarding disorder, trichotillomania, and excoriation disorder. He also investigates Tourette disorder, misophonia, and autism spectrum disorder, particularly in how these conditions intersect with anxiety. His work is heavily rooted in cognitive-behavioral interventions, including habit reversal training, exposure therapy, and family-based CBT.
He has led numerous randomized controlled trials examining the efficacy of d-cycloserine augmentation of CBT, the utility of telehealth-delivered therapy, and the role of family accommodation in treatment outcomes. His research also explores quality of life in youth with chronic tic disorders and the neuroethical implications of pediatric deep brain stimulation.

Labs & Teams:
Dr. Storch leads the OCD Research Program at Baylor College of Medicine, which includes a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, psychiatrists, and research staff. The program focuses on translational research and clinical trials aimed at improving treatment outcomes for youth and adults with OCD and related disorders.
