Eran Klein is an Affiliate Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Washington, affiliated with the NSF Center for Neurotechnology (CNT) and the Neuroethics Research Group. He is also a neurologist specializing in dementia at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and the Portland VA Medical Center. His work bridges neurology, neuroscience, and philosophy, focusing on ethical challenges in neurotechnology and neurological care.
Education: PhD from Georgetown University (2003).
Research Interests: Neuroethics explores ethical implications of neuroscience advancements, including neurotechnology applications, clinical decision-making in dementia, and the philosophical underpinnings of brain-related research.
