معرفی
Eran Blacher is a Senior Lecturer at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, leading the Blacher Lab. His research focuses on the gut-brain axis in aging and neurological disorders, employing advanced experimental techniques, systems biology, and clinical trials. The lab explores molecular mechanisms linking gut and brain communication to identify targets for neurological diseases.
Key research areas include aging's impact on neurological health, neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s), immune cell metabolism, and microbiome interactions. The lab’s work combines multi-omics approaches, cellular imaging, and pre-clinical models to study systemic pathways in disease progression.
Awards: Recipient of the 2021 NOSTER & Science Prize for contributions to gut-brain axis research.
Advising & Hiring: Actively mentoring postdoctoral fellows, PhD/M.Sc. students, and research associates. Current openings emphasize experimental biology, microbiome analysis, and neuroimmunology training.
Labs & Teams: The Blacher Lab integrates interdisciplinary approaches, focusing on gut barrier dysfunction, immune cell rejuvenation, and neurodegenerative disease mechanisms. Collaborative projects include clinical trial design and systems-level data analysis.
