Enrique Palancar

Enrique Palancar is a Research Professor at the CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research). His primary research focuses on inflectional morphology, morphological typology, and the syntax of information structure, with a particular emphasis on Meso-American languages and the documentation of Oto-Pamean languages from Mexico.

Current Projects:

• Co-leader of LABEX-EFL Project 3, Group 4: "Typology of non-canonical inflection"
• Member of the ANR-DFG CHIBERGIS project: "Ergativity and information structure: Comparative study of Chibchan languages"

Research Contributions: He has contributed to morphosyntactic studies of Oto-Manguean languages and manages the online "The Matlatzinca Collection" and "The Oto-Manguean Inflectional Class Database" through archives like ELAR and Surrey University.
