Enrique A. Nieves

Enrique A. Nieves is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Nova Southeastern University's Barry and Judy Silverman College of Pharmacy in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He bridges academic research with industry experience as a former Director of R&D in the pharmaceutical sector, where he led drug development projects and contributed to technology transfer and NDA filing processes.

• Research Interests: Application of nanotechnology in molecular carrier systems, novel drug design, stabilization of peptides/protein drugs, drug delivery for large molecules, and clinical pharmaceutics targeting metabolic diseases.
• Student Involvement: Coordinates hands-on research opportunities in drug discovery and development through the PHA5999 course, focusing on drug characterization, formulation, stability studies, and analytical techniques.
