Enrico Dal Lago is a Professor of History at the University of Galway and a Member of the Royal Irish Academy (MRIA). His research spans comparative histories of slavery and antislavery, the American Civil War, and nation-building in Europe and the Americas. He has held leadership roles as Head of the History Department (2018-2021) and Head of the School of History and Philosophy (2019-2023).
