Engin Umut Akkaya

Prof. Engin Umut Akkaya is a distinguished academic at Dalian University of Technology, currently serving as a Professor in the State Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals within the Pharmaceutical Science and Technology. He holds a PhD in Chemistry from The Ohio State University (1989) and has held professorial roles at Middle East Technical University (1995–2007) and Bilkent University (2007–2018). His research focuses on photodynamic therapy, cancer drug development, and smart molecular systems.
