Endre Brunstad

Endre Brunstad is Professor of Nordic Languages and Language Didactics and Head of The Teacher Education Centre at the University of Bergen. His research focuses on Nynorsk studies, language policy, and written culture research.

His research examines linguistic diversity in educational contexts, with particular focus on Nynorsk language acquisition, bilingual education models, and language attitudes among youth. Recent work addresses challenges in written culture research and linguistic practices in Norwegian education.

He maintains active engagement with language policy development and educational practices related to Nynorsk in Norwegian schools.
