Emrul Hasan

Emrul Hasan is a Lecturer at the Vancouver School of Economics (VSE) under the Faculty of Arts at the University of British Columbia. He teaches courses in Macroeconomics, Econometrics, International Trade, and International Finance. Prior to UBC, he taught at Simon Fraser University (SFU) and the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT).

Professional Background: Before academia, he worked as an investment analyst and consultant at investment banks, manufacturing firms, and think-tanks like the Fraser Institute, specializing in private equity valuation, M&A, and macro consulting.

Personal: Originally from Bangladesh, he moved to Canada in 2009. He plays cricket in the British Columbia Mainland Cricket League and enjoys mentoring students about career planning.
