Emrah Atasoy

Emrah Atasoy is an Associate Professor of English and Comparative Literary Studies at the University of Warwick, UK, holding roles as an Associate Fellow and Honorary Research Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Study (IAS). He has held visiting positions at Harvard University, University of Oxford, and Pompeu Fabra University. His research focuses on dystopian/utopian studies, environmental humanities, and speculative fiction. He earned a joint PhD from Hacettepe University and completed postdoctoral research at Penn State University and Oxford. Atasoy has authored a monograph, edited multiple volumes, and published widely in journals like Utopian Studies and Critique. He leads projects funded by the EU's Marie Skłodowska-Curie program and engages in public outreach through lectures and interdisciplinary collaborations. His editorial roles include section editor for The Literary Encyclopedia and membership in associations like ASLE-UKI and ESSE.
