Emmy Reilly is a Research Scientist at Duke University's Center for Child and Family Policy, focusing on developmental psychobiology. Her work examines how family resources and systemic oppression impact parenting and child development, with an emphasis on compassion and stress regulation. She holds a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Minnesota and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Her research integrates developmental, psychobiological, and prevention science to study families with young children. Dr. Reilly has taught undergraduate courses on child development and adolescent psychology, and delivered guest lectures on LGBTQIA2S+ families in child policy. She has mentored 14 student researchers through programs like TRIO McNair Scholars and Multicultural Summer Research Opportunity. Her service roles include advocacy with Duke Postdoctoral Association and Developmental Scientists for Climate Action.
